GENERALIZEN SURFACE OF FRACTURE BEHAVIOR

Abstract

Abstract: Three dimensional Km-da/Dn-△K surfaces are established by using the multi-parameter crack propagation models of Forman type and Walker type. In these surfaces, stress intensity factor range and mean stress intensity factor are regarded as two variables. The σa-σm-N* surface of crack propagation life of Walker type has also been established in view of the interaction of the stress amplitude and the mean stress. The measurement, fitting methods and the examples for these surfaces are given.
