Abstract: Cast-rolling forming technology is a new technology to produce ring parts. It possesses many advantages such as high efficiency, short process, saving energy and materials and reducing pollution. In order to get better microstructure and mechanical properties in this new process it is very important to study the microstructure evolution mechanism and deformation thermodynamic conditions of casting materials. To investigate thermal-physical characteristics of materials under hot forming and establish accurate model is key and premise for analyzing microstructure evolution of materials and realizing the controlling of organization and mechanical properties. Aiming at the cast-rolling forming technology of bearing rings, the thermal-physical characteristics of casting 42CrMo such as thermal conductivity, specific heat and thermal diffusivity under hot forming are researched by means of numerical simulation and experiments. The variations with temperature of these parameters are achieved. The factors influencing the changes of these parameters are analyzed. The obtained results can provide accurate data and model for analyzing cast-rolling forming technology of 42CrMo steel rings and getting better microstructure and mechanical properties.
