Design Change Model Construction Based on Quotient Space Theory and Path Optimization Research

Abstract: Aiming at the issue of redundant relationships in the existing design change model that affect the efficiency and quality of design change, a design change model construction and optimization method based on quotient space theory is proposed. A multi-granularity product system functional relationship model is constructed using quotient space theory. The product system design change model is established through function-structure mapping, and the minimum design change model of product system is established by using the merge strategy. The optimization objective of the design change model is determined based on change propagation intensity, and a design change propagation path optimization method is presented, utilizing an improved ant colony optimization algorithm, and the process of change path search is established based on the minimal design change model. The feasibility and effectiveness of the method are demonstrated through a case study involving design change in a sintering furnace.
