Large-range Vision and High-resolution Rapid Measurement with Variable Viewing Angle

Abstract: There are some problems such as serious image distortion, complex structure, high cost and huge volume of imaging system in the existing large-scale visual devices. The difficulties that can not be ignored in the practical application of large-scale vision devices. To solve this problem, a high resolution lightweight measurement system for large field of view is proposed. The camera's perspective is controlled by using the scanning mode of two-dimensional galvanometer. The high-resolution imaging of large-scale vision in a small system without changing the number and attitude of cameras can be realized. The advantages of low cost and rapidity are provided by the system. At the same time, the cost function is constructed with topological structure constraint, which effectively improves the speed, robustness and accuracy of image matching. Experimental results show that, based on the above method, a large range of imaging more than 5 times of the original camera's field of view can be achieved, and at the measurement distance of 100 cm and 70 cm, the imaging resolution is 131.12 μm/pixel and 93.31 μm/pixel, respectively. The robustness of the system and the effectiveness and speed of the optimization algorithm in feature point pair matching are verified. A new idea for high precision vision measurement of large components is provided.
