Predecisional Remanufacturing Design Method of Rolls Considering Multi-roll Repair and Grinding Relationship

Abstract: The research on the predecisional remanufacturing time of rolls is an effective way to solve the remanufacturing uncertainty problem. Aiming at solving the problems of large variability of regrinding timing among rolls during rolling and the need for frequent stoppages, A design for predecisional remanufacturing of rolls considering inter-roll repair relationship under coupled damage is proposed. The method regulates and matches the roll regrinding timing through process parameter optimization to achieve uniform regrinding at the regrinding time of the rolling mill line, which solves the problems of uncertain regrinding time and frequent shutdown. Taking the work roll of F5 finishing mill of a steel rolling line as the object, the feasibility of the method was verified by damage theory, finite element simulation analysis and regression analysis based on its working condition and damage characteristics.
