Abstract: Uncertainties in material properties and space structure at different scales of the plain woven carbon fiber composites have different effects on the stochastic mechanical properties. In order to determine the key parameters affecting the stochastic mechanical properties on multiple scales, the sensitivity of material and structural parameters on stochastic mechanical properties of plain woven carbon fiber composites at various scales are studied scale by scale based on variance analysis method. Through the indices integration strategy, the sensitivity indices at all scales are combined to obtain the system-level sensitivity indices, and the influence degree of parameters is sorted and evaluated, so as to identify the key parameters from the source. The method can determine the key design variables in the material-structure integration design under uncertainty, which helps to reduce the variable dimension so as to improve the design quality and efficiency.
