Abstract: In order to change the logistics pattern of China, and to effectively utilize the vast high-speed railway transportation resources of China, and to give full play to the efficiency of China's high-speed railway, operation of freight electrical multiple unit (EMU) trains is undoubtedly a new way for railway freight development. In order to deeply understand the influence of non-uniformly distributed loading due to cargo loading difference on the train dynamics performance, a dynamics model of China railway high-speed EMU train was established in this paper. Different cargo loading distribution cases were considered, and the train operation safety, stability and wheel-rail dynamic interaction performance of high-speed freight EMU are analyzed. The research results show that for all the idling, traction or braking conditions, the evenly distributed full load of high-speed freight EMU has smaller derailment coefficient and wheel unloading rate than those of the light load conditions, which indicates a better safety. Generally speaking, uniform distribution of cargo quality is beneficial to improving high-speed freight EMU train dynamics performance.
