Optimization Method for Rotation Angle of the Non Modal Rotary Shaft

Abstract: A rotation angle optimized algorithm based on post processing is proposed to overcome the problem that rotation angle of rotary shaft is limited in the use of the double pendulum head five axis machine tool with the non modal rotary shaft. According to the rotation range of the rotation angle to determine the initial correction condition, in the case that the tool contact point is fixed, the rotation coordinates of the correction area are optimized. Through the establishment of the kinematic model, a special post processor with angle optimization is developed using java language based on the basic post processing algorithm of the machine tool. Simulation and practical processing of an impeller part using the algorithm are carried on. Results show that it could revise the rotation angle in the processing so as to improve the scope of machine tools for the processing limitation due to structural reasons is avoided. This method also provides a certain reference to solve the problem of limited rotation angle for other similar machine.
