Research on Simulation System of Hybrid Modern Tramway

Abstract: In order to meet the need of hybrid powertrain integration and control system optimization of hybrid modern tramway with energy storage system, the hybrid system structure and operating principle of hybrid modern tramway are introduced, the energy flow and data flow of hybrid modern tramway are analyzed, and the key parts model of simulation system is developed, then the simulation system of hybrid modern tramway is established based on a hybrid backward/forward approach. Operation of a hybrid modern tramway on a planned railway line is simulated to verify the performance of the hybrid modern tramway. The simulation results indicate as follow: the simulation system can quickly calculate the performance of tramway and state of energy storage system, the simulation system can well meet the demand of hybrid modern tramway in the early period of development and offer the technical support for the development of hybrid tramway.
