Abstract: For the high failure rate of gear transmission system of wind turbine under the random wind conditions, the external wind load of gear transmission system of wind turbine induced by random wind and the internal dynamic loads induced by the stiffness of rolling element bearing and the gear and the synthesizing gear mesh error are researched, the lumped mass method is used to establish the coupled gear-bearing dynamics model of gear transmission system of wind turbine. The dynamic contact stress-time history of each pair of gears and each supporting bearing are obtained on the basis of the simulation. The loading process is taken as a random process, and the cumulative distribution function of the equivalent load of random load is deduced. The dynamic and time-varying reliability model of gear transmission system of wind turbine is built on the system level based on the stress-strength interference theory. The factors of strength degradation and dependent failure are included the model and the rule for the impact of the strength degradation and dependent Failure on the dynamic reliability of gear transmission system of wind turbine is researched. The research results lay a foundation for dynamic design and optimal reliability design of gear transmission system of wind turbine.
