Abstract: Ti51ZrNiCu filler alloy was used to vacuum braze TA1 alloy and TC4 alloy successfully. The interfacial microstructure of brazed joints was studied by scanning electron microscope(SEM), energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS) and X-ray diffraction(XRD). The processes of brazing and high temperature treatment are researched respectively to illustrate the impact on interfacial microstructure and mechanical property. And the influences of brazing parameters and high temperature treatment on interfacial microstructure were summarized. The results showed the typical interfacial microstructure of TA1/TC4 joints was TAl/α-Ti+β-Ti+(Ti,Zr)2(Ni,Cu)/TC4. Brazing parameters had less influences on the interfacial microstructure, which meant wider process window. Compared to brazing parameters, high temperature treatment had more influences on the interfacial microstructure, which is critical factor. After high temperature treatment, the (Ti,Zr)2(Ni,Cu) phase reduced, which lead to the more uniform microstructure, higher and more stable mechanical property. The highest tensile strength of brazed joints was 319 MPa, which were obtained at 935 ℃ for 3 min and high temperature treatment for 120 min.
