Abstract: In order to study the lightweight design method of train body, the main achievements in the field of lightweight design of train bodywork at home and abroad in recent years, and their applications in high-speed train, urban rail train and maglev train bodywork are reviewed. The design requirements and numerical modeling methods of train body are analyzed; The optimization methods of topology optimization, shape optimization, size optimization and multidisciplinary design optimization of train body structure are mainly studied; The application of new composite materials such as magnesium alloy, glass fiber, aramid fiber and carbon fiber in lightweight design of train body is listed, and the technology of process parameter optimization, friction stir welding and laser welding in the manufacture of train body at the present stage are summarized. The development direction and trend of lightweight design of train body in the future are pointed out, aiming to provide reference for the research of lightweight design of train body.
