Abstract: Aimed at the surface wettability of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) film, which is the important surface characteristic, PDMS films with different thickness are prepared by spin coating method. The surface wettability, physical characteristics and chemical characteristics of PDMS films before and after heat treatment are analyzed by contact angle measurement, surface morphology observation, film thickness analysis and infrared chemical spectrum analysis. The influence of film thickness on the wettability of heat treatment PDMS film is explored. The results show that the surface of H-PDMS films has different wettability states, including hydrophilic, hydrophobic, superhydrophobic, and superhydrophilic. Moreover, the physical and chemical analysis of surface morphology, cross-section thickness and chemical bonds show that the formation of SiO2 particles, the change of SiO2 particle size, and the change of stacking state of SiO2particles can cause the difference of wettability of H-PDMS films. This study would provide a theoretical basis for further investigation on the wettability characteristics of PDMS films, and can provide a method guide for changing the wettability of heat treated PDMS films by controlling the thickness of PDMS films.
