Research Progress and Key Techniques of Active Morphing Wing at Medium and Small Scales

Abstract: According to the change of flight conditions, the morphing wing can actively adjust its shape to improve the mission adaptability of the aircraft, which is the research frontier and hotspot of future aircraft design. Based on this background, this paper mainly describes the research progress of small and medium scale active wing deformation technology at home and abroad. Focusing on the conflict between the flexibility deformation capacity and the aerodynamic bearing capacity in the design of the wing, the mechanical deformation structure design of the wing with variable camber, variable thickness and torsional morphing at the present stage is emphatically analyzed and discussed. The research bottleneck and technical scheme of the key technologies such as deformation skin, light and high output driving system and coordinated deformation control system in the design of morphing wing are expounded and analyzed. The future development direction of the morphing wing is discussed, which provides a technical reference for the design and engineering application of the morphing wing.
