Abstract: For debonding detection of rubber-steel bonded structure,a resonant ultrasonic coded detection method with high detection sensitivity is proposed. It is different from the traditional method of envelope imaging after pulse compression. The resonant ultrasonic coded detection method needs to use carrier frequency information to enhance the energy of the characteristic signal. The method is analyzed in frequency domain. Firstly, the center frequency of transducer and coded signal is chosen near the resonance frequency of steel layer, and then the interval of characteristic signal is selected for pulse compression according to the side lobe suppression characteristics of chirp signal and Barker code. The results show that the debonding detection sensitivity of chirp signal and Barker code is significantly higher than that of the traditional square wave excitation, the sidelobe suppression range of the chirp signal is more controllable than that of the chirp signal, and the bandwidth of the chirp signal is more flexible.
