Abstract: Whenthe current theories of reflection/transmission coefficients without stress are used, the elastic properties of material can be affected by stress, which may cause unstable result and large errors. The reflection/transmission coefficient of prestressed material is carried out based on acoustoelasticity. The reflection of aluminum plate is calculated and compared with the results of literature,so that verify the accuracy of the proposed method. The reflection/transmission coefficient of the isotropic plate is calculated. The influence of different stresses on the reflection/transmission coefficient is analyzed based on correlation coefficient. The results show that as the stress increases, the amplitude of reflection coefficient spectrum is reduced and has a linear relationship with the stress. This provides a basis for characterizing stress using reflection/transmission coefficients.
