The Problem Flow Network Building and Solving Process Model for Complex Product

Abstract: Against the limitations of the classical TRIZ theory tool to solve multi-conflict problems in complex products, OTSM theory (general theory of powerful thinking) mainly deals with complex interdisciplinary innovative problems and gives generalized expressions, but without clearly providing the general ways to eliminate multiple contradictions and search for the optimal solution path. Based on the construction of the problem flow net for complex products, key problems are selected from it, and further transformed into the conflict net, and then the key conflicts are discriminated and transformed into the parameter net. Meanwhile, TRIZ tool is applied to resolve the conflicts and put forward solutions, and the discriminative approach for key problems and the transformation rule from key conflict net to parameter net are proposed. Then the construction processes of problem net, conflict net and parameter net are provided. Finally, the problem flow net complex-product-oriented and the solving process model are established. Moreover, the 900T bridge erecting machine for construction machinery is taken as an example to conduct innovative design, having verified the validity of the process model.
