Abstract: Due to the complex influence factors in the processing of cemented carbide surface, followed by low efficiency and a high rejection rate. To improve the technology of finishing the curve surface, and obtain the relationship between processing efficiency and contact characteristics in theory, it takes steel M300 as the study objective and establishes the model of residual peak by analyzing the micro contact characteristics of the elastic abrasives. Through analysis of model, the functional relationship between the residual peak removal area and the main parameters affecting the grinding accuracy is derived. Finally, the influence degree of each parameter on the polishing effect and the best parameter combination is gotten and verified by a set of experiments and provide references to hard precise surface polishing.

Key words: contact characteristics, elastic abrasive, grinding efficiency, Taguchi method, the residual peak
