Abstract:

Based on the tangential continuous extrusion technique of vacuum tube manufacturing methods, an experimental investigation for a heat pipe with axial “OMEGA”-shaped micro grooves is conducted to study the manufacture process and experimental research on the performance test. And analyzes the working condition of heat pipe in a vertical axial temperature distribution under different cooling conditions, the thermal resistance and the equivalent thermal conductivity coefficient, evaporation/condensation heat transfer coefficient, working temperature under different temperature cold source versus heat load. Experimental results show that this kind of heat pipe manufacturing method is feasible, compared with conventional methods, get rid of the single tube shell process of pumping air into vacuum state, which greatly promoted the efficiency of the heat pipe. The Freon-11 heat pipe has good performance of isothermal and heat transfer performance in low temperature and room temperature.
