Abstract:

Adding mechanical differential to independently rotating wheels achieves lateral mechanical differential control to it is put forward. At the base of theoretical analysis to the differential-coupled wheelset vehicle system dynamics and moment distribution of symmetric differential, build the differential-coupled wheelset vehicle model and rigid-wheel vehicle model. According to contrast of the three-direction experiment acceleration data and simulation result, the correctness of the vehicle model is verified. The security and wear work of these two kinds of vehicle when they pass curves is studied by dynamic simulation, especially research the security of negotiating small curve. The result shows that the differential-coupled wheelset vehicle not only has low wear work, but also has better curve passing security than rigid-wheel vehicle. The differential-coupled wheelset vehicle has good curve passing performances while running on small radius curve lines. This kind of character is adaptable to the urban railway lines which has small radius curve.
