Abstract: Indoor workspace measurement and positioning system is a type of distributed large-scale measurement system based on the intersection of optical planes. This measurement system is widely used as it has advantages of large range, high precision, multitasking and whole space real-time measurement. Transmitters are needed to be placed at different positions of the workspace in the measuring process. So, the station deployment has a great influence on the measurement accuracy. To get a better layout, the relations between different intersection way of optical planes in measurement point and the stability of the measurement are analyzed. And a mathematical model is established. Then the genetic algorithm based on the mathematical model is designed, furthermore, the deployments of two to four stations are simulated and analyzed. The simulation results show that this method can optimize station deployment and give an optimal layout to improve the measurement stability of different measuring conditions.
