Development of Theory and Technology in Fluid Abrasive Finishing Technology

Abstract: Since the 20th century 60’s extrusion abrasive flow technology appearance, it produced the important influence in the field of finishing processing, particularly following the introduction in our country since the 20th century 80’s, the domestic researchers study a large number of theoretical, it has appeared a serials of new tools for fluid abrasive finishing machining technology in recent years. From three aspects including mechanism of material removal, optimum of parameter and uniform problem in application reviews the fluid flow characteristics in the process of abrasive machining, removal mechanism and machining simulation, summarizes the nearly 50 years of traditional viscoelastic extrusion abrasive flow technology and in recent years of loose low viscosity fluid abrasive finishing machining technology, analyzes the fluid abrasive machining research means and methods, provides a reference direction for the future in-depth fluid abrasive finishing machining research and explore polishing application of high quality work-piece, such as turbine, blisk and high performance complex curved surface.
